Inversion Effect @ Lufton Runner

Last night, Inversion Effect (a band which includes my friend Thomas Fang) played to a full house at Lufton Runner. Although I wasn’t able to make it in person, I enjoyed the photographs and sample song available on the Luf’s website.

Theo Drumsthemoon, part of the Lufton Collective which operates the venue, tells me they are still looking for artists to appear in the Tellurian Music Series. You can contact booking at luftonrunner dot com for information.

The Continuous Coast project is looking for graphic artists and web geeks. It’s a creative commons share-alike open source project. It should be fun. While we think we may have a solid business model, none of us are making money at the moment; but we have hopes.

In order to launch the main website for the project, we are looking for assistance from both webdesigners and web programmers. We have a moderately complex website where we want to offer a unified experience across several different parts of the website including user fora, a store, &c. We’d like the website to be built from free and open source technologies like PHP, Drupal, Wordpress, etc.

Interested applicants must be able to collaborate well with others, and be able to keep time commitments when made. Please apply with links to samples of your work via email to kit at dreamcafe dot com.

A few months ago we posted about looking for musicians and bands to help us with a project. I’ve been passing on your recommendations to my friend Theo Drumsthemoon, who runs a concert venue called Lufton Runner, for his new Tellurian Music Series. I’m pleased to say the first concert in the series, featuring the artist Gfire, was a huge success. You can check it out on Lufton Runner’s new website (or follow this direct link to the concert page).

I’m already working with several of the artists who responded to the last post to arrange future performances. If I’ve contacted you and I’m waiting to hear back from you, please respond soon. If you haven’t heard from me, you will. We’re still looking for more bands, so feel free to mention yours or a friend’s here (or email them to kit at dreamcafe dot com or booking at luftonrunner dot com) if you missed the chance in the last post. The Luf is a very eclectic venue, so all types of music will be considered.
