Great, a revised version when I’m 3/4 of the way through the original. Thanks!
I think you’ve got the Jaynest moment of an entire career of Jayning in that flashback sequence. (Ending with his sister needing a new husband.)

David, the only changes are typos and the like. There’s no substantial changes to content.
I love that Jayne moment too.

FYI: The zipped PDF still seems to be the old version, and I don’t _think_ this is due to any caching on my side.
(The Last Modified date of the PDF is still 2008-02-05, and the editorial nitpick I reported isn’t fixed in it, while it is in the HTML version.)

Sander,
Thank you for the heads up. I somehow uploaded the old version. The true corrected PDF has been uploaded now.

Incredible book! I read it in two sittings. I think you nailed all of the characters. Thank you for letting me journey to the land of Firefly on a new adventure!

Great book! Now that there’s a corrected version I’m going to read it yet again. [Cheerily opens new version of book like a child with a shiny present on Christmas morning] :)
I would definitely love to see more novels like this one set in the Firefly universe. And to any publishers that might read this, I’m of a mind to “pay” for those stories, so get to making deals with these wordsmiths and start printing. ;)

I didn’t get in on the ground floor with Firefly so I hadn’t seen much of it, but skzb’s fanfic has made me a convert–working my way through the DVD set now.

I’ve got the MS Word to MS Reader converter on my computer and I converted the .doc file to a .lit file for ease of reading. I like the bookmark feature in MS Reader better than Word.
If you want another format for your site I’m happy to send a copy.

Just finished a wonderful read. Thank you very much for the opportunity! Have been an avid fan of yours (Mr. Brust) from Vlad to Lucifer and Prince Miklos. I continue to wait for the opportunity to purchase and read further adventures!
I was especially taken with the off-kilter way Mal was shown; an interesting and new take on his quirky personality. Very much enjoyed the flash backs as well.
